Typhoid
Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection caused by Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi and is transmitted through contaminated food, water, or by direct contact with an infected person. Typhoid fever is more common in areas with poor sanitation and insufficient access to clean water. Symptoms of typhoid fever usually appear between 6 and 30 days after exposure to the bacteria and can vary in severity.
